An opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse with emergency care experience to cover a period of maternity leave in Crawley Urgent Treatment Centre. This will be on a 12 month fixed term contract commencing in May 2017.


Crawley UTC is a well established nursing and medical team based at Crawley Hospital. The service provides urgent and unscheduled care 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week with a fully integrated ambulatory primary care service for the Crawley population and surrounding communities between the hours 08.00-20.00 7 days a week. The UTC has recently been extensively renovated and remodelled to provide a modern and spacious working environment, with a separate paediatric area for both young children and adolescents. The unit has a team of staff with varying degrees of experience and skills including Doctors, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Emergency Nurse Practitioners and Health Care Assistants.

You will be expected to work to a high level of practice within agreed guidelines, as defined by local protocols. The successful candidate will demonstrate a calm and confident approach to their work, demonstrating excellent nursing and communication skills and the ability to manage and prioritise workloads effectively.
