Deputy Medical Director - 10 PAs (6PAs leadership 4PAs clinical)

Consultant/GP/SAS/Dentist

We are looking for an outstanding and inspirational leader with a passion for delivering community health and care services. This role is ideal for someone looking for experience of senior clinical leadership in a complex and fast moving environment. Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust provides community health care to the residents of West Sussex, Brighton and Hove, High Weald, Lewes and the Havens and is commissioned by 5 different CCGs. You will play a strategic role in working with our commissioners, local GPs, NHS England & NHS Improvement, our team of experienced clinical leaders, our staff and of course our patients to provide fully coordinated care in a rapidly changing health system.

The successful candidate will receive a fully supported development programme with plenty of exposure to executive level engagement and may suit a doctor/dentist looking to move to an executive position in the future. Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust is a successful community provider and is widely viewed as a health system leader. We need someone to match our ambitious aspirations, who will commit to leading and delivering excellent care at the heart of the community and someone with resilience who can meet the challenges of adapting to a fast paced, complex health care setting.

We believe it is important for the post holder to maintain their clinical roots and so we can be flexible as to which specialty the post holder works within. Ideally, the clinical sessions would be provided within one of our community services or local primary care. 

We would welcome informal visits.
